Why Jammu is new the target of Pakistan sponsored terrorism?

Jammu has suddenly witnessed a series of terrorist attacks since last one month.

Usually Kashmir used to the targeted area by terrorists earlier.

Here are 3 reasons:

1. Hindu Dominant Population - Almost 0 attack on civilians or pilgrims has been highlight of Modi’s decade rule.

Pakistan is run by multiple independent layers of individuals and institutions.

They want to make their presence felt and please their boss. Reasi Attack was that symbolic thing for them

2. Upcoming assembly elections after 5 years- J&K voting percentage have been at par with national average for the first time. It was peaceful and people came out to vote. It was a moral defeat for Separatists and terrorists .

They want to remain relevant in upcoming assembly elections. Jammu is BJP dominant region of the two. What can be a better example of their importance than terrifying this region.

3. Tough terrain and lesser vigilance as compared to Kashmir- Kashmir has been almost fortified by Army since long ago particularly after 2019.

Jammu remains a tough terrain to maintain vigilance and it was never secured like Kashmir given more disturbance and infiltration in Kashmir than Jammu historically.

Pakistan based groups are using this to their advantage with Monsoon making things more difficult for Indian security forces.
