  • On 27 July 2020, Einhamar Seafood purchased the Marel FleXicut system, which is installed in the company's Grindavk processing plant. Einhamar increase the level of automation in its production with FleXicut, enhancing both its operations and the final product. The new system automates two important organizational processes namely detection and portioning. After detecting pin bones with X-ray technology, water jets cut the fillet to eliminate the bones, and knives part the fillets according to customer requests. Einhamar Seafood also installs the FleXitrim pre-trimming flowline as a part of the FleXicut system, which includes the FleXisort distribution system.
