World of Warcraft patch 9.2.5 finally has a release date!

On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, Blizzard announced the release date for the final update for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. This is patch 9.2.5, scheduled for deployment on European servers on Wednesday, June 1, 2022! Since this is a small patch, it's important to remember that this patch will only introduce some real new elements into the game.

However, a new season is already planned: Season 4 of Shadowlands. Unique in many ways, it not only allows players to relive some of the dungeons from past expansions in Mythic Mode+, but also to re-adventure into all of Shadowlands' raids...adding affixes is an extra difficulty!

Blizzard has announced that Shadowlands Season 4 will not launch this Wednesday (June 1), but rather later in the summer of 2022, so players can continue to work towards earning Season 3's rewards.

Finally, the main feature introduced by this "small patch" is of course the so-called "cross faction" play. Specifically, it will allow anyone to group together to execute any instance of World of Warcraft, regardless of the faction of the group members. Yes, yes, orc shamans and night elf priestesses can now fight alongside jailers in the same raid! However, this feature will be limited to instance content, so (for now) forget about guilds and outdoor missions between former enemies.

In the process, Blizzard also announced that the tomb of the founder of Myth Mode will be open to cross-servers. So starting June 1, you can team up with anyone, regardless of their faction and server, to beat the last Shadowlands Raid challenge on the highest difficulty without the slightest restrictions.

New quests for the blood elves and the dark iron dwarves!

Two new questlines will help the Blood Elves and Dark Irons earn new rewards in this update.

Blood Elves who complete the questline will receive the elusive Emerald Chocobo mount, while Blood Elf Paladins will receive the Blood Knight and Knight's Dedication Set, inspired by the Blood Knights.
