Fantasy Football TE Rankings Week 3 Who to start best sleepers at tight end

After a one-week hiatus, the tight end position is back. And it wasn't just the returns of Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews last week that helped strengthen the position, as several preseason studs (T.J. Hockenson, Darren Waller, Evan Engram) and sleepers (Jake Ferguson, Cade Otton) finally woke up. Andrei Vasilevskiy Kids Jersey All of that activity is making our Week 3 fantasy TE rankings for standard leagues look as strong as ever. Now it's up to the tight ends to keep up the strong play. Fantasy owners know that they're always ups and downs at this position, even for some of the upper-tier guys. Consistency is not its strong suit, so it's smart to constantly be on the lookout for high-target breakouts or favorable matchups.Unfortunately, it's still a little too early to trust the matchup stats, but that's not going to stop us from digging through the early trends and looking for some potential sleepers and busts.MORE: It shouldn't come as a surprise that Travis Kelce (vs. Bears) and Mark Andrews (vs. Colts) are back in our top three now that they're healthy and scoring again. T.J. Hockenson (Chargers), who's posted an impre sive 17 targets through two weeks, is slotted between this week. Darren Waller (@ 49ers) and George Kittle (vs. Giants) round out our top five.WEEK 3 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | Even though they've been a bit inconsistent/disappointing this year, we still like Evan Engram (vs. Texans), Pat Freiermuth (@ Raiders), and Dallas Goedert (@ Buccaneers). Their ceilings remain high, and it's only a matter of time before it's their turn for a big game. After getting seven targets last week, Goedert especially seems due.WEEK 3 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | It's still a little too early to have a good feel for favorable/unfavorable matchups, so our sleeper picks are mostly based on targets. Hayden Hurst (@ Seahawks) and Jake Ferguson (@ Cardinals) both received seven targets in Week Dominik Masin Women Jersey 1, and Ferguson followed that up with a TD in Week 2. This week, they face the two worst TE defenses from 2022. Even though both Seattle and Arizona were solid against TEs in Week 1 before regre sing a bit in Week 2, there are plenty of reasons to like Ferguson and Hurst this week.We also like Cade Otton (vs. Eagles) this week, as he's fresh off a six-target game and faces an Eagles' defense that's been torched by TEs in both of the first two games. We don't expect Otton to have a day like T.J. Hockenson did last week, but something similar to Hunter Henry's Week 1 line (5-56-1) seems doable. Sam LaPorta (vs. Falcons) and Zach Ertz (vs. Cowboys) have also impre sed enough with either targets or run-after-catch ability to merit consideration in deeper leagues. You could also go back to the well with Taysom Hill (@ Packers) after he returned to the role that saw him finish as the TE3 in standard leagues last year. He ran nine times for 75 yards, completed a pa s, and caught a pa s in Week 2. He didn't score, but with Jamaal Williams (hurting), he could be used more around the goal line next week. He's always risky, but what lower-end TEs aren't?WEEK 3 FANTASY: | | Let's be clear: We would still start Kyle Pitts (@ Lions) if he's your top TE, but his owners are likely getting impatient after he posted just four catches for 59 yards through the first two weeks. The output is disappointing, J T Miller Kids Jersey but Desmond Ridder and the Falcons' offense have been solid, giving us hope that Pitts will eventually come through. There's a slight matchup concern for Hunter Henry (vs. Jets) even though New York gave up a TE touchdown last week. We're also pumping on the breaks on preseason sleeper Chig Okonkwo (@ Browns). He was more involved last week but still managed just four targets and 35 yards. Until we see more from him -- and L.A.'s Tyler Higbee (@ Bengals), for that matter -- we're not starting them.WEEK 3 DFS: | | | We'll have to monitor Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews to ensure they don't have any setbacks throughout the week. We know Greg Dulcich (hamstring) will be out until at least Week 6, as he was placed on the IR before last week's game. Logan Thomas will have to clear concu sion protocol in order to suit against the Bills, and given his injury history, we wouldn't be surprised if he was held out. We'll be updating these Ryan Mcdonagh Kids Jersey standard TE rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.Rank Player1 Travis Kelce, Chiefs vs. Bears2 T.J.
