According to a report by news agency ANI, Mamata Banerjee said in a meeting with the newly elected TMC MLAs, "After Bengal, now the INDIA alliance team is united. I will not resign. Even if they sack me. I want this to be a black day. We must remain strong. On the first day of the assembly, all TMC MLAs should wear black clothes. Those who have betrayed will be expelled from the party. I am laughing. I have defeated them morally. I am a free bird. I have worked for everyone. Even if we have lost, we will fight."

TVK leader Thalapathy Vijay received a piece of good news from his staunch rival and former Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, who announced that he would not pose any challenge to the TVK government for six months, as he does not want a constitutional crisis. Earlier, TVK had staked its claim to a majority with Congress support, while AIADMK has shifted its MLAs to Puducherry.

DMK chief MK Stalin revealed in an interview to a Tamil Nadu newspaper that we do not want a constitutional crisis in the state, TVK should form the government in the state, and I want the new government to continue all welfare schemes without interruption.

He also stated that he would not give any challenge to the TVK government for six months. Meanwhile, DMK has convened an important meeting of the party's newly elected MLAs today. This statement from the DMK chief has also put an end to speculations of DMK coming together with AIADMK.

Stalin's statement is being seen as a major piece of good news for Thalapathy Vijay, as Vijay has recently entered active politics and joined the race for power through the TVK party.

जब से गायों के साथ जुड़ा हूं ,सुनता आ रहा था कि बंगाल से बहुत बड़ी संख्या में गायें बांग्लादेश में कटने के लिए रोज जाती थीं। कुछ अधिकारी ही पैसे ले कर इसमें मदद करते थे। गौरक्षकों पे जानलेवा हमले होते रहते थे। कभी सीमा सुरक्षा बल के जवान कुछ गायों को बचा पाते थे, तो वो कुछ संस्थाओं (NGOs) की देखरेख में रहती थीं। ये संस्थाएं भी इतनी गायों की देख रेख के लिए दान पर निर्भर थीं क्यूकी सरकार से इन्हे सहयोग नहीं मिलता था। दूध, गोबर और गोमूत्र से जुड़े व्यवसाय के लिए कई सालों से इनमे से कुछ संस्थाओं के संपर्क में मैं था।
सत्ता परिवर्तन अपने साथ व्यवस्था परिवर्तन भी लाता है। उम्मीद करता हूँ कि पश्चिम बंगाल भी गायों की सुरक्षा, सेवा और सम्मान के लिए देश भर में चल रहे अभियान में बढ़ चढ़ कर भाग लेगा। वहाँ की नयी सरकार से काफी उम्मीदें हैं। बंगाल के समर्पित गौपालकों और गौरक्षकों का उत्साह देख कर प्रसन्न हूँ।
