Re-watching 'Deewaar' made me realize that a hardcore commercial/masala film too can live for eternity if it's made with sheer earnestness!

A searing portrait of a fallen man descending to the depths of ruins!

The movie opposes violence like anything, it makes one truly think that violence is the most terrible thing that ever happened to humanity, it does that by profoundly exploring the horrific aftermath that violence leaves upon to endure, it does that by sincerely protesting against the revenge while revealing its futility, it does that by symbolizing how demonic and painful the guilt trip would be, it does that by manifesting how unforgivable destiny would be.
This is a salient character study that believes in anti-violence and it portrays that with the most powerful honesty.

Some movies quiver you like hell just through their uncertainties, and perspectives, making the existence of the truth so "hidden" that we are never able to find it, this is one such movie, Haneke is a genius at dealing with the human psyche!
