महान वीरांगना कालीबाई भील
जून, 1947 ई. में डूंगरपुर में रास्तापाल की पाठशाला बन्द करवाने के लिए पुलिस सुपरिटेंडेंट और मजिस्ट्रेट दल बल सहित पहुंचे।
जब पुलिस ने पाठशाला बंद कर इसकी चाबी सुपर्द करने का आदेश दिया, तो प्रजामंडल कार्यकर्ता नानाभाई खांट ने मना कर दिया। इस पर सिपाहियों ने नानाभाई खांट की पिटाई की और अध्यापक सेंगाभाई को ट्रक से बांधकर घसीटना शुरू किया।
जब भीड़ यह दृश्य देख रही थी, तब वीर काली बाई ने दांतली (हंसिये) से सेंगाभाई की रस्सी काट दी, तभी सैनिकों ने काली बाई भील पर गोलियां चला दीं।
18 जून 1947 को अपने गुरु को बचाने के प्रयास में 13 वर्षीय कालीबाई ने 20 जून 1947 को दम तोड़ दिया।
