प्रयागराज में चल रहे माघ मेले के सेक्टर-5 स्थित गंगा अस्पताल में पहली बार एक बच्ची का जन्म हुआ है। मध्य प्रदेश के छतरपुर जिले से संगम स्नान के लिए आईं श्रद्धालु रागिनी ने शनिवार को एक स्वस्थ बच्ची को जन्म दिया।

रागिनी अपने पति सुनील कुमार के साथ मेले में आई थीं, जब उन्हें अचानक प्रसव पीड़ा शुरू हुई। परिजनों ने उन्हें तुरंत मेला क्षेत्र के अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया, जहाँ डॉक्टरों ने सुरक्षित तरीके से सामान्य प्रसव (Normal Delivery) कराया। संगम तट पर जन्म होने के कारण खुशी से भरे परिवार ने बेटी का नाम 'गंगा' रखा है।

अस्पताल अधीक्षक डॉ. मनोज कुमार ने पुष्टि की है कि जच्चा और बच्चा दोनों स्वस्थ हैं। नियमानुसार, प्रसूता को सरकार की ओर से 1400 रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जाएगी। यह माघ मेले के अस्थायी अस्पताल में हुई पहली सफल डिलीवरी है।
